Aims and Scope
The Journal of Precision Microbiome Therapeutics (JPMT) publishes original and authoritative research at the interface of microbiome science, therapeutic development, precision medicine, and clinical translation.
The journal focuses on research that:
- elucidates causal mechanisms underlying host–microbiome and microbe–microbe interactions;
- identifies microbiome-associated therapeutic targets and functional pathways;
- develops microbiome-derived, microbiome-modulating, or microbiome-enabled therapeutic strategies;
- engineers microbial systems, strains, communities, or biological circuits for therapeutic or diagnostic applications;
- investigates interactions between drugs, therapeutic agents, and the microbiome;
- identifies microbiome biomarkers relevant to disease susceptibility, treatment response, toxicity, or patient stratification;
- integrates microbiome data with multi-omics, computational modelling, and artificial intelligence to support therapeutic discovery and development;
- evaluates microbiome-based interventions in preclinical models or human studies;
- advances microbiome therapeutics toward clinical translation, regulatory evaluation, implementation, and patient benefit.
